Taconic wildcat

Cladding Refurbishment, Burgess Hill

The Taconic Wildcat facility in Burgess Hill required a complete exterior refresh to bring the building back to a clean, modern standard. The existing cladding had become weathered over time, losing its original colour and impact. Our team carried out a full preparation and respray, transforming the façade with a fresh, contemporary finish.

The main cladding panels were professionally sprayed in RAL 7001 (Silver Grey), a sleek and versatile shade that instantly brightened the building and restored a uniform appearance. To complement this, the trims and shutter were finished in RAL 18B25, adding contrast and definition to the overall look. This combination delivered a crisp, modern aesthetic that significantly improved the site’s visual appeal.

As with all AIK Coatings projects, the work was completed using high‑performance, durable coating systems designed to withstand long‑term exposure and maintain their finish for years to come. The result is a revitalised exterior that not only looks impressive but also provides lasting protection for the building.

Marshall Road Eastbourne

Full Cladding Restoration of the Former Magnet Building

The former Magnet building on Marshall Road in Eastbourne was in urgent need of a complete exterior revival. Years of exposure had left the cladding in extremely poor condition, coatings were failing, flaking, sun‑bleached, and offering little to no protection to the underlying substrate. The building’s appearance had deteriorated significantly, and without intervention, further damage was inevitable.

AIK Coatings took on the project without hesitation, bringing our experience and high standards to a challenging refurbishment. The first stage involved stripping back all failed and unstable coatings, ensuring the surface was properly prepared for a long‑lasting restoration. Once the cladding was stabilised and fully prepped, we applied Giromax Wallcoat, a premium, high‑performance system designed specifically for ageing industrial and commercial cladding.

Giromax Wallcoat delivers exceptional durability, UV resistance, and weather protection — making it the ideal choice for a building that had suffered extensive wear. The transformation was immediate. The fresh coating restored uniformity, strengthened the building envelope, and gave the property a clean, modern appearance that will stand the test of time.

The results speak for themselves: a tired, deteriorating façade brought back to life with a professional finish built to last.

London Ambulance, Canning Town

Full Exterior Respray in Partnership With Colorkote

The London Ambulance facility in Canning Town required a complete exterior refresh to modernise the building and bring it back to a clean, professional standard. Working in partnership with Colorkote, AIK Coatings carried out a full respray of the windows, trims, gutters, and cladding to deliver a sharp, contemporary finish that reflects the importance of the site.

The existing yellow framework had become dated and weathered over time, so our team prepared and resprayed all windows, trims, and gutters in RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey) — a modern, highly popular colour that instantly elevates the appearance of any commercial building. To complete the transformation, the cladding was refinished in a non‑metallic RAL 9006, providing a clean, uniform contrast that ties the entire façade together.

This project required careful coordination, precise preparation, and high‑performance coatings to ensure a durable, long‑lasting finish suitable for a busy operational environment.

The result is a refreshed, modernised building that now reflects the professionalism and reliability associated with the London Ambulance Service.

City Plumbing, Shoreham

Gutter Restoration in Partnership With Colorkote

The City Plumbing branch in Shoreham was experiencing significant issues with ageing, leaking gutters, a common problem for older commercial buildings exposed to constant weathering. Working in partnership with Colorkote, AIK Coatings delivered a full gutter restoration designed to stop leaks, protect the building envelope, and extend the lifespan of the system for many years to come.

We began by deep‑cleaning the entire guttering system, removing built‑up debris, moss, contaminants, and failing coatings. Proper preparation is essential for long‑term performance, and this stage ensures the new coating bonds securely and performs as intended. Once fully cleaned and stabilised, we applied the Giromax Guttercoat system, a high‑performance solution specifically engineered to seal leaks, prevent corrosion, and provide durable waterproofing.

Giromax Guttercoat is known for its exceptional longevity, flexibility, and resistance to UV and weather exposure — making it the ideal choice for a busy commercial site like City Plumbing. With the system now fully restored and protected, the gutters are ready to take on 15+ years of reliable performance, even under heavy rainfall and demanding conditions.

The result is a clean, watertight, professionally finished gutter system that safeguards the building and reduces future maintenance costs.
